What's New
Site Refresh... With Video!
A long overdue refresh of my site has finally happened. As you can see, the look and feel has been updated as a temporary refresh until I get enough time to do a complete overhaul. Along with the updated look comes a new section, Video! Here you will be able to find some HD video clips now that I have a new Nikon D90. Don't expect any great footage... yet. I'm still working on the manual focus and getting use to the new world of video. Finally, I've updated the Gallery section, be sure to check it out as new pictures are being added weekly. I hope you enjoy the new site and if you have any suggestions or comments feel free to contact me!
New York City Birding
Fall migration is starting to come into full swing here in New York City. I spent the weekend birding Central Park and Jamaica Bay - both affording a few migrants. Some highlights included a Kentucky Warbler in Central Park as well as a White-faced Ibis at Jamaica Bay (and a few great looks at Peregrines!). I also saw my first Short-Billed Dowitcher at Jamaica Bay and I plan to see many more first time shorebirds for me in the coming weeks. If you are in the NYC area I encourage you to try to make it to Jamaica Bay, it is an incredible refuge, especially if you enjoy shorebirds. Check out the new images in the Wildlife Gallery and Birds of Prey Gallery.
